Talia Adaiah Caldwell was born May 25, 1991 in Los Angeles, Calif. ...mother is Teal Marchande...father, Ravin Caldwell, was a linebacker with the NFL's Washington Redskins from 1987 to 1992, winning two Superbowl rings (1987, 1991)...wants to eventually own her own business...enjoys cooking, watching football, swimming, and organizing her life...first women's basketball player to be accepted into the Haas School of Business.
Talia has was a strong, big body that isn’t easy to push around. She is almost always in the right spot on the court. She excels on being in the perfect position for a weakside rebound, keeping an opponent’s best post player away from a scoring position in the paint, offensive rebounds and scoring around the basket and setting screens.
Talia can make an impact without getting the ball on every trip down the court. She learned that skill quickly, and it made for a critical element for the Cal Bears in their trip to the Final Four.
Add up all of her skills, and you get the most efficient player on the Cal team. Talia didn’t take a ton of shots, but was very efficient. She finished her Cal career with a 54% shooting percentage, 57% her senior year.
Talia has a great attitude, is a strong team player and a coach on the court. She's a pleasure to be around.
